An unusual exhibition space based in an old water tank, it was built between 1907 and 1911 by engineer Diego Martín Montalvo and architect Ramón de Aguinaga. Eclectic in style, it is a monumental industrial work that features a brickwork exterior, circular layout, sloping buttresses and recessed metal roof. The building was restored in 1986 and refurbished as an exhibition gallery by architects Javier Alau and Antonio Lopera. This space is nationally and internationally famous in the world of photography and the image. Specialises only in contemporary photography and audiovisual art, it welcomes work by both internationally established artists and young photographers.
