This museum is the result of the generous donation made to the Spanish state by the publisher and financier José Lázaro Galdiano (1862-1947) of silverware, jewellery, enamelwork, sculpture, bronzes, marble, glassware, ceramics, furniture and clocks. It is also a splendid art gallery with works by great masters from Spain and abroad, including a large collection of oil paintings and prints by Goya.
